Initiative for Better Health (IBH) is a registered non-governmental organization dedicated to saving lives, promoting health and improving living conditions of underprivileged and vulnerable people of Uganda. IBH advances livelihoods for health and directly benefits young people, women and their families, through live welfare projects on skilling, healthcare, livelihoods and women empowerment, in remote villages and slums across Uganda.
IBH believes, that economic empowerment is both the means as well as the end to a better life: the means because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one’s awareness on a range of issues from healthcare to appropriate social behaviour to understanding one’s rights and in the process help him/her evolve as a better citizen.
